Dargibell Manor

The history of the Dargibell estate dates back to 1651, when it came into the possession of the von Eickstedt family. This family likely had a first manor house built in the mid-18th century. In 1761, Leonhard von Eickstedt sold the property to General Otto Martin von Schwerin. Between 1851 and 1860, the estate temporarily belonged to a Captain von Happe before being repurchased by the von Schwerin family. An expansion of the manor house took place in the second half of the 19th century, followed by a redesign in historicizing style between 1880 and 1890. After the expropriation of the von Schwerin family during the land reform in 1945, the building served as accommodation for refugees and displaced persons.
