Ekhammar Manor, a country estate, is located in the Swedish municipality of Hjo. It is distinguished by its timber construction and its gradual development.

History+

The origins of Ekhammar Manor date back to the first half of the 17th century, when the ground floor was constructed. An expansion took place between 1808 and 1809, when the upper floors were added. Of the four wing buildings, two date from the 1630s, while the other two side buildings were erected in 1756. The estate also includes older farm buildings, among them a mill and a sawmill, which were restored in the 1990s.
