Etgendorf Manor (Kirchtroisdorf)

Between Bedburg and Kirchtroisdorf, in open fields, lies the water-surrounded, closed rectangular complex. The manor house is early Baroque, the farm buildings have been renovated. The estate has been owned by the Premonstratensian monastery Reichenstein near Kalterherberg since 1216. From the end of the 15th century, it was leased out on hereditary lease; from 1673 to 1862, it was owned by the Simonius family, also known as Ritz. The manor house is a stately brick building with two stories; it is covered with a high hip roof. The building with mullioned windows in trachyte framing was built in 1605 for the councilor Peter Simonius from Jülich. To the west, a two-story gatehouse with a low hip roof adjoins. The passage is round-arched, an alliance coat of arms Ritz/Dürffenthal has been affixed. At the southeast corner, a three-story rectangular tower with a multi-tiered ogee dome protrudes; the lantern is closed.
