Fahrenstedt Manor

Fahrenstedt Manor was first mentioned in the 16th century and has been a noble estate since 1764. The manor house, however, was built as early as 1723 on the foundations of a previous building. Today, the estate is used for horse breeding.

The manor house is a two-story brick building with a hipped roof. The facade is adorned with a central risalit and a baroque portal. Inside, some of the original stucco ceilings and wall paintings have been preserved.

Surrounding the manor house is a spacious park, which was laid out in the 18th century as a baroque garden. Later, it was transformed into an English landscape garden. Today, the park invites visitors for leisurely strolls with its old trees, ponds, and winding paths.

As mentioned, Gut Fahrenstedt is currently used for horse breeding. Regular events, such as riding tournaments and open days, take place on the estate. The historic premises can also be rented for private celebrations and corporate events.

The park is open to the public year-round. Guided tours of the manor house are offered on select dates. Please check the website for current opening hours and event dates.
