Herrenhaus Gansbroich, a historic manor and estate house, is in Baal, a district of Hückelhoven in the Heinsberg district, North Rhine-Westphalia. The complex has an enclosed four-wing construction.

History+

The first documented mention of Gut Gansbroich dates back to 1350, when it was owned by Godtfried von Nyvenheim. In 1443, Heinrich Udman acquired the property from Wilhelm von Vrankenhoven. The estate was a fief of the Heinsberg manorial court and served as the ancestral seat of the Udman/Oidtman family of aldermen.
