The Historic Building+

The historic building, whose exact construction date is unknown, is first mentioned in a document from 1582. It is a building with a rich history, which has undergone numerous changes of ownership and use over the centuries.

Early History and Ownership+

In 1582, the building was in the possession of Hans von Deupold, a prominent personality of his time. Little is known about the exact use of the building during this period, but it can be assumed that it served as a residential and administrative building for the respective owners.

Changes of Ownership in the 19th and 20th Centuries+

In 1881, the building was sold to Baron von Wrangel, which marked another significant change in its history. The Wrangel family probably used the building as a stately residence. After the end of the Second World War, in 1945, the building was expropriated from Dr. Otto Buchner as part of the post-war reforms.

Post-War Use and Current Status+

After the expropriation, the building served various public purposes. It housed the municipal office, apartments, and even a school, which underlines its importance for the local community. Today, the building is in private ownership, but unfortunately stands empty. Efforts are underway to find a new use for the historic property and preserve it for future generations.
