Hönsäter Manor
Hönsäter Manor, a historic country estate, is situated on the outskirts of Hällekis in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland and functions as a hotel.
History+
The first documented mention of Hönsäter dates back to 1348 in a sales deed. In the 15th century, the estate came into the possession of the Stake family. Under the patronage of Harald Stake, the current castle building was erected between 1667 and 1670. In the mid-18th century, two wings were added, which were subsequently replaced by the side wings visible today in 1806/1807. In 1979, Hönsäter was classified as a Byggnadsminne, designating it as a protected architectural monument.
