Hudenbeck Manor (Holzhausen)

The origins of Hudenbeck Manor House date back to 1558, when it was presumably built by Wilke von Schloen, known as Gehle. Originally, the estate was surrounded by a wide moat, accessible via a stone bridge and a drawbridge. In 1586, due to inheritance disputes, the knight's estate passed into the possession of Johann von Steding. The von Oheimb family acquired the complex from his descendants in 1812. In the early 1980s, the estate was taken over by the city of Preußisch Oldendorf, and the manor house was transformed into a "Haus des Gastes" (Guest House). A mill, first documented in 1556 and whose history is closely linked to the knight's estate, was rebuilt in 1983 and is now part of the Westphalian Mill Route.
