Kamitz Manor

Kamitz Manor

To be privately owned

Kamitz was owned by Hermann von Weßnig before 1250. In 1250, Dobrilugk Monastery bought the property and built a manor farm. The ownership changed in 1510 to Johann von Troyse (Torgau knight family), in the second half of the 16th century to the von Hirschbach family, in the 17th century to the Lords von Drandorf, and in 1725 to the Lords von Stammer. From 1937 to 1945, Wolfgang Müller-Schönau managed the estate. He had the manor house fundamentally renovated in 1937/38. In 1945, Müller-Schönau was dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 1996, Wolfgang Müller-Schönau's son bought the property and renovated the manor house.
