History of the Building+
The building, originally a moated castle, was erected in the 17th century. Over the centuries, it underwent various transformations, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Owners and Their Influence+
Among the notable owners were the families von Nostitz, von Ponickau, and most recently von Carlowitz. Margarethe, daughter of the last von Carlowitz, married Hans von Tschammer und Osten, who later became an NS State Secretary and Reichssportführer.
Usage After 1945+
After 1945, the building served as a district school for the SED and from 1963 as a comprehensive school. Since 1990, it has housed a primary school and after-school care.
