Kleve Manor

In the 18th century, the present-day Kleve estate was a sheep farm, which was leased in hereditary tenancy in 1745 by Heinrich von Meurer, the then owner of Krummendiek Manor. The tenants changed several times during the 19th century, and in 1839, the ponds that still exist today were added to the estate's property. In the mid-19th century, a new brickworks was built next to an existing one, but it fell victim to a fire shortly after 1900. The architect Otto Roosten, who acquired the estate in 1902, had the current manor house built. As early as 1910, there was another change of ownership.
