Herrenhaus Krummendiek, also known as “Schloss Krummendiek,” is a manor house in Schleswig-Holstein. Located in the municipality of Kleve-Rahde, it is a notable example of the region's manor houses.

History+

The origins of the Krummendiek estate date back to the 13th century. In 1227, Hartwig Busche de Crummendike received the surrounding land and settlement as a fief from Count Adolf IV of Holstein. Ownership of the estate changed hands multiple times, belonging to noble families such as the Rantzaus, Sehestedts, and Ahlefeldts. During the Thirty Years' War, the original estate seat was destroyed by Swedish troops. The lords of the manor subsequently moved into the manor house of the Lütgenrahde farm.
