Lausnitz Manor

The first documented mention of Lausnitz was on June 8, 1266.

At least since the 15th century, there were knightly estates in Lausnitz: until 1945, for over 200 years in the possession of the von Wurmb family, before that for 250 years in the possession of the von Stein family. The "Lower Court" had a manor house, referred to as "Schloss" in the village, with Rococo furniture, a collection of Meissen porcelain, and a valuable library. It also included a park in the style of the Bayreuth court. The last male owner, the farmer Lutze von Wurmb, fell in 1943 as an officer in World War II.
