Herrenhaus Leutwitz+

Die Geschichte des Herrenhauses Leutwitz

Leutwitz belonged to the Marienstern Monastery in Panschwitz-Kuckau in the 17th century. Strictly speaking, there are two manor houses in the small village of Leutwitz between Bischofswerda and Bautzen. The much more stately of the two dates from 1851 and is built in the classical style. It is a two-story building with a richly decorated facade, a central risalit, and a high hip roof. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. The manor house and the associated farm are now privately owned.
