Louisenlund Manor

The construction of Louisenlund Manor took place between 1772 and 1776, serving as a summer residence for Landgrave Carl von Hessen. Around 1790, the estate was expanded by architect Hermann von Motz, who added an orangery, among other features. The building acquired its current architectural form under the patronage of the Dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. Despite various alterations, features such as the original stucco ceilings have been preserved inside the manor. To the west of the estate, remnants of a 17th-century farmstead and 18th-century outbuildings can still be found.
