Mallin Manor

Mallin Manor House is a historicist-style building located in Mallin, in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The building was constructed by Karl Ludwig Baron von Hauff in the years 1870/71. The associated estate previously belonged almost exclusively to the von Maltzan family from the 15th century until 1857, then to the Schröder family, and from 1869 to Baron von Hauff. In 1945, the owners were forcibly dispossessed by the communists. Afterwards, the manor house served as a residential building, kindergarten, artist's studio, and restaurant. The ballroom was used for celebrations. After the reunification, it stood empty from 1991 and progressively deteriorated. Since 2007, initial renovation measures have been undertaken, but these do not yet represent a definitive rescue of the building.

The rather impressive manor is a two-story plastered building with eleven axes and a basement level. In front of the manor house is a rectangular pond, and a large park adjoins the building.
