The estate was owned by the von Calven family in 1410. In 1636, ownership changed to the miller of Morien, who built the manor house in 1639. In 1640, a keep was built. Ownership changed to the von Lüneburg family in 1710 and to the von Albedyll family in 1744. Around 1900, the manor house was rebuilt. Since 1945, the house has been used as a retirement home.
