Nenkersdorf Manor

Nenkersdorf is first mentioned in 1304 as Nenkersdorp. From the 14th century until 1534, Nenkersdorf belonged to Chemnitz Monastery as an outwork. In 1533, the estate was elevated to a knight's estate. Owners of the knight's estate included the Schwengk family, the von Löser family of Sahlis, in 1724 Johanna Sophia von Gladebeck, and thereafter Bodo Wilhelm aus dem Winckel. From 1794–96, the manor house was rebuilt for Christoph Friedrich aus dem Winckel. Ownership then changed in 1838 to Max Wilhelm Ferdinand Thienemann. In 1893, ownership passed to Adolf Landmann, who rebuilt the manor house. In 1900, Eugen Eduard Peter Platzmann bought the estate. The Platzmann family was dispossessed and expelled by the communists in 1945.

After 1945, the house served as a school. Renovation of the house began in 1999. The house has been vacant since February 2008.
