History of the Building+

The history of the building is long and eventful. Here are the most important milestones:

  • First mentioned in the 14th century as property of Reichenbach
  • Subsequently owned by the von Gersdorff family
  • Since 1786 owned by the von Kiesewetter family
  • 1843 Auction
  • 1848 a part of the manor burned down and was rebuilt
  • During this time, the manor house was rebuilt
  • 1908 last alterations to the manor house by the Hanspach family
  • 1945 not expropriated, remained in the possession of the Hanspach family (until their flight in 1957)
  • Subsequent expropriation and management by LPG (Agricultural Production Cooperative)
  • After reunification, restitution claims of the Hanspach family were positively decided
  • Today renovated and back in family ownership
