Pronstorf Manor, an estate in Schleswig-Holstein, is an example of Baroque architecture in the region. Located directly on Lake Warder.
History+
The estate's origins stretch far back, possibly to a Slavic cult site. In the Middle Ages, the Knights of Pronstorf, a branch of the Buchwaldt family, owned a fortified manor here. This evolved into the noble estate of Pronstorf in the 16th century. Following destruction during the Thirty Years' War in 1643, the estate was rebuilt, and the current manor house was constructed starting in 1716. At the end of the 19th century, Pronstorf passed by inheritance to the Rantzau family, who still own it today.

The manor house is privately owned and can only be viewed from the outside to a limited extent. The estate continues to be managed and also serves as a venue for cultural events.
