Rickelshausen Manor

The manor house was built in 1769-72 by Fridolin Erhard von Senger. After 1823, it was converted into a small factory. In 1834, some buildings were demolished.

It is a three-story building with a mansard roof. The facade is adorned with rich stucco decorations, including pilasters, cornices, and window frames. The main entrance is emphasized by a portico with four columns.

Interior Design

The interior of the manor house still retains some of its original features, such as the grand staircase, the ballroom, and several salons with stucco ceilings and壁炉. These rooms are now used for various cultural events and private functions.

Surrounding the manor house is a spacious park, originally laid out in the 18th century as a Baroque garden. In the 19th century, it was transformed into an English landscape garden. The park features mature trees, winding paths, and a small pond.

Current Use

Today, the manor house and its park are open to the public. The building houses a museum dedicated to the history of the region, as well as a restaurant and a cafe. The park is a popular spot for recreation and relaxation.
