Röcknitz Manor

The origins of Herrenhaus Röcknitz likely date back to the mid-15th century, when Hans von Broda resided here in 1465. Around 1495, Georg von Waren owned the manor. In 1622, Christian Zoch acquired the estate, which remained in his family's possession for 65 years. In 1687, Joachim von Plötz took over the manor, merged it with the Treben estate, and was appointed patron. He had the current manor house redesigned in a simple style in 1696. After his death, the estate passed to Karl Reinhard von Hartitzsch. In 1872, Baron Karl Alfred von Wächter purchased the property, which changed hands several times after his death in 1914, including to the Bautzmann brothers and Dr. Arthur Köpp.
