History+

The origins of the Rohlstorf estate date back to the early 16th century, when it was owned by the Wensin family. In 1601, the property passed to the Danish King Christian IV, who later granted it as a fief. After changes of ownership, the estate came into the possession of the Brockdorff family in 1661, who held it until the 18th century. In the mid-19th century, under Kuno zu Rantzau-Breitenburg, a new manor house in the Neo-Gothic style was built.
