Rundhof Manor in Stangheck-Rundhof, Schleswig-Holstein, is an example of North German manor house architecture. Originally emerging from a medieval moated castle, the complex today presents itself as a Baroque manor house.

History+

The first documented mention of Rundhof occurred in 1231, when it was still a fortified moated castle in royal possession. During the 13th century, it was granted as a fief to Jutish military leaders. Around 1400, Erich Krummendieck transformed the property into an an extensive manorial estate. Following the Krummendiecks, the families von der Wisch and Sehestedt took ownership. In 1557, the Rumohr family acquired the estate and developed it into a noble manor.
