Sachsgrün Manor

The estate dates back to the 13th century, when a moated castle was built between 1200 and 1250, likely serving as the ancestral seat of the von Sack family. First mentioned as a “Veste” in 1353 and later as a castle in 1397, the property developed into a knight's seat and subsequently a knight's estate. Ownership changed frequently, including the von Feilitzsch and von Seckendorff families. From 1716, the estate came into the possession of the von Brandenstein family, who held it until 1921.
