Scheda Manor (Wickede)

Until its secularization in 1809, the Scheda estate belonged to Scheda Monastery. After the monastery's dissolution, the remaining domain came into the possession of Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom Stein in 1823. Two years later, in 1825, Scheda was elevated to a knight's estate. From 1826, it formed a noble lordship together with the former Cappenberg Monastery. Through marriage to Therese vom Stein, the owner's daughter, Ludwig Ferdinand Graf von Kielmannsegg acquired ownership of the estates. In May 2011, entrepreneur Walter P. J. Droege purchased the property, whose area has since been reduced to 120 hectares.
