A Neoclassical building from the early 19th century, Herrenhaus Schönfeld is located in the Schönfeld district of the Mühlen Eichsen municipality. It is now a privately owned estate.

History+

The history of Herrenhaus Schönfeld began in the early 19th century when the then district administrator Johann Jacob von Leers had the entire estate rebuilt. The Danish architect Joseph Christian Lillie, based in Lübeck, designed the new manor house, whose construction began in 1822 after the completion of the farm buildings. The original estate on Lake Wendelstorf was subsequently demolished.
