In the municipality of Schwarzbach in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district of Brandenburg, Herrenhaus Schwarzbach, a baroque manor house, is a listed building. It is characterized by its simple elegance and the arrangement of its outbuildings around a central rondel.

History+

The Schwarzbach estate was first mentioned in 1455, when it was a fief of the Lords of Gersdorff. It later passed into the possession of the Hoym family. The current building was constructed in 1727, likely incorporating the foundations of the previous structure. As the Hoym family had their main residence in Guteborn, Herrenhaus Schwarzbach was not a primary residence. Towards the end of the 19th century, the manor house underwent renovations, during which a spacious staircase and tiled stoves were added, and the attic was converted for servants.
