Herrenhaus Seestermühe is a historic manor and estate house located in the municipality of Seestermühe in the Pinneberg district, Schleswig-Holstein. It is one of the estate complexes in the Pinneberg Elbe Marshes and is noted for its well-preserved Baroque garden, featuring a lime tree avenue and a garden pavilion.

History+

Seestermühe was first documented in 1141, when it belonged to the Archbishop Adalbert of Bremen. The history of the estate likely dates back to this period. In 1494, Hans von Ahlefeldt acquired sovereign rights over the surrounding marsh estates, including the Seestermühe Marsh, from the Danish king. For several centuries, the estate remained in the possession of the Ahlefeldt family.
