Herrenhaus Sickte, a manor and estate house, is located in the municipality of Sickte and is an example of Baroque architecture in the region. It combines estate architecture with traditional rural building styles and European influences.

History+

The origins of the estate date back to 1638 when a knight's estate was established by merging several farms. Around 1710, Urban Dietrich von Lüdecke, then a privy councillor and later chancellor of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, commissioned the construction of the current manor house. The design was created by master builder Hermann Korb.
