Vollenschier Manor

Vollenschier Manor House is an estate house in the Altmark region. It is located in the village of Vollenschier.

The origins of the Vollenschier estate date back to 1484, when Gebhard von Alvensleben received the fief and established a farmstead and later an estate there. The current manor house was built in the mid-18th century in the Baroque style as a single-story building. It initially belonged to Baron von Etzel, whose son-in-law, Baron von Kloppmann, later took over the property. After World War II, in the summer of 1945, the von Kloppmann family was dispossessed in the Soviet occupation zone, and Baron von Kloppmann fled to West Germany. The estate continued as a state-owned farm until operations ceased in 1990/91.
