Waterneverstorf Manor, a historic estate, is situated in Behrensdorf-Waterneverstorff in the Plön district, Schleswig-Holstein. It evolved from a medieval moated castle to a neoclassical manor house.

History+

The first documented mention of Waterneverstorf, then known as Neverstorpe, occurred in 1433. Around 1390, the Rantzau family, who held the property for centuries, built a fortified noble residence in the form of a moated castle. In 1592, the estate passed into the possession of the Reventlow family, who sold it to the Blomes in 1662. They primarily used the property as a hunting lodge. After the Blomes died out in the male line in 1776, the estate passed to the Counts of Holstein-Holsteinborg.
