In Zoblitz, a district of Görlitz in Saxony, Germany, is Herrenhaus Zoblitz, a historic manor house. It now serves as a modern residential building.

History+

The first documented mention of Zoblitz dates back to 1345, when Heinrich von Kittlitz had his land ownership confirmed. A stately outwork is verifiable by 1525 at the latest, and from 1564, Zoblitz had a knight's seat. For a period, the estate was owned by the von Gersdorff family, who presumably also had the manor house built. In 1794, the estate changed hands to the von Thielau family.
