The Ducal Ballroom was built around 1680. It is one of the so-called Princely Houses and was converted into a ball game house by Duke Johann Georg in 1699. From 1795 to 1802, it was briefly home to a teacher training college before serving as the seat of the superintendency for almost 150 years.
