Hofmark 4

The construction of the building in 1620 is attributed to the monastic judge Andreas Faber, who thereby established a permanent residence for the judges of the monastic estate. Previously, they resided in various properties within the community. The building was strategically positioned on the border between the monastic estate and the market town of Dießen. After secularization and the dissolution of the monastic estate in 1803, its use as a judicial residence ceased. From 1803 to 1981, it housed the local forestry office, which managed, among other things, the Bayerdießen forest. Since 1981, the property has served as the official building for the Dießen police station.

The Klosterrichterhaus is located at Hofmark 4 in Dießen am Ammersee, a municipality in the Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech, Germany. It is situated on an east-sloping hillside, below the former monastery wall.

Today, the listed building houses the Dießen police station. It presents itself as a two-story building with a steep gabled roof, featuring five by five axes, color-contrasting corner quoins, and plaster surrounds around the window openings.
