Hohenecker Hof Manor

The Hohenecker Hof presents two very different sides to the observer. On one side is the red brick facade facing west (on Beauner Platz) with a stepped gable and terrace extension. In the central axis are a loggia and balconies. Large pointed-arch windows emphasize the gable, which bears two battlements on the side. The balustrade clearly stands out from the building.

The eastern gable wall (Am Bürgerhaus), on the other hand, represents the old original building. The baroque half-timbering with curved long braces on the solid ground floor clearly stands out from the west facade. The half-timbering features man figures, quarter-circle braces, and St. Andrew's crosses.

The gabled roof has round-arched dormer openings. Above the basket-arched house entrance is a rocaille cartouche with the coat of arms of the von Hoheneck family. The inscription reads:

„IO'ES: FRANC: BARO ab HOHENECK DECAN: METROP: MOG: HAS AEDES CUM SUIS APPERTINENTIIS ET ALIIS DIVO MARTINO ET DECANIS SUC/CESSORIBUS IN PERPETUUM FEV DM DEDI/CAVIT AO MDCCLVI“

The gate in front of the eastern gable wall is executed in Neo-Gothic style in yellow sandstone. The keystone of the gate, a remnant (spolia) from an old city court, bears the year 1533.
