If you drive from Pirna into the climbing region around Rosenthal-Bielatal, the Bielatal Hunting Lodge rises on the right-hand side shortly before the Schweizermühle, in front of an extensive sandstone rock massif. It is an elaborate half-timbered building with numerous turrets and ornaments, which was built in 1864-66. The castle most recently served as a hotel and is now in private ownership after extensive renovation.
