In Zweiflingen-Friedrichsruhe, Friedrichsruhe Hunting Lodge stands as an example of Baroque hunting architecture. It now serves as a hotel.

History+

The origins of the estate date back to 1612, when Count Kraft von Hohenlohe-Neuenstein had an enclosed hunting ground with a pleasure house built. This complex was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. After a reconstruction, during which the area also served for horse breeding, the current hunting lodge was built between 1712 and 1717 under Count Johann Friedrich II of Hohenlohe-Neuenstein. He also had symmetrically arranged outbuildings, such as a hunter's lodge, constructed.
