Josefslust Hunting Lodge, also known as the “Jagdschlösschen,” is situated in the “Faulbronn” forest in Sigmaringen. This building, once serving as a princely gamekeeping office, is now a privately inhabited estate and not accessible to the public.

History+

The origins of Josefslust Hunting Lodge date back to 1727, when Prince Josef Friedrich had the first hunting lodge built. In 1830, the current hunting lodge was erected on this site, subsequently serving as the gamekeeping office for the Princes of Hohenzollern. A unique feature for a long time was a stuffed wolf, considered the last specimen hunted in Hohenzollern territory, which was displayed in the archway of the castle until a few years ago.
