Waldsee Hunting Lodge, once a hunting residence, now serves as a hotel in the Feldberg Lake District.

History+

The construction of Waldsee Hunting Lodge took place between 1899 and 1900, commissioned by Hereditary Grand Duke Adolf Friedrich V of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Simultaneously, a game enclosure was established, serving as a hunting ground for the grand ducal family. After 1916, the lodge changed ownership through marriage, passing to Prince Julius Ernst zur Lippe. In the 1930s, the first state hunting ground in Mecklenburg was established here. After World War II, in 1945, the then owners were dispossessed.
