Kärnäkosken Linnoitus (Fortress)

Kärnäkoski Fortress, an impressive bulwark in Finnish Savitaipale, stands as a testament to late 18th-century military strategy. As part of a comprehensive defense system in southeastern Finland, it served to protect the then Russian capital, Saint Petersburg.
