In Mußbach, a district of Neustadt an der Weinstraße, the Karl-Theodor-Schlößchen is a historic winery and an example of Baroque architecture. Named after Elector Carl Theodor, the former court estate is still used as a winery today.

History+

The estate's origins date back to 1709, when the court complex was built. It was only later that it received the name of Elector Carl Theodor. At the beginning of the 20th century, the winery passed into the possession of the current owner family. Erich Stolleis, who served as mayor in Landau and Ludwigshafen during the Nazi era, hailed from this estate. Today, the winery is managed by his younger son, Peter.
