Kasteel Brakel
Kasteelbrakel is a ruined castle in Brakel in the province of Gelderland. The square water castle was in the 12th Century built by the Knights of Brakel. From 1321 the castle burned by lightning and was rebuilt thereafter again. 1407 Castle was destroyed of troops of Count William VI of Holland and rebuilt again thereafter. On 11 September 1672 was the castle blown up by French troops and never rebuilt.
