Kasteel Hackfort

Hackfort Castle is a complex located in Vorden, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The estate, now surrounded by forests and meadows, includes a watermill.
History+
The origins of Hackfort Castle can be traced back to 1324, when the Lord of Bronckhorst commissioned the construction of a castle. In 1392, the property, then known as “Hacforden” and consisting of a house with an outer bailey and moat, was mentioned in the feudal register of the Lords of Bronckhorst.
