Kasteel Heemstede, in the province of Utrecht, was originally a country estate. Today, it houses a restaurant.
History+
The origins of the estate date back to around 1645, when the original building was constructed. The Kasteel suffered a fire in 1987. Its restoration proved difficult, as for a long time no investors could be found. Eventually, the construction company WCN, later Phanos, acquired the property. The building was renovated and completed in 2002.
