Kasteel Twickel (Castle)
Twickel Castle is located near Delden in the province of Overijssel. 1347 Twickel is first mentioned in the possession of Herman Twickelo. Until the 16th Century the castle belonged to members of the Van Twickelo family. Thereafter changed the ownership of the family van Raesfelt (16th-17th century), the van Wassenaer Obdam family (17th-18th century) and the family van der Heeckeren Wassenaer (19th-20th century). Today the castle is owned by the family of the Counts of Castell Rüdenhausen which inhabit it. The Earl himself died on 21 January 2010.
