Kemenate Karlstadt

Public library

The Hohe Kemenate in Karlstadt am Main (Main-Spessart district, Lower Franconia) is an early stone residential tower from the city's founding period. The name literally means a chamber equipped with a fireplace; later, stone residential buildings were referred to as such. Today, the city library is located here.
