The Kettelersche Kurie in Münster is a residence that blends into the historic cityscape on Domplatz. As part of the Episcopal Vicariate General, it is an example of Baroque architecture in the region.

History+

The construction of the Kettelersche Kurie took place between 1712 and 1716 under the direction of master builder Lambert Friedrich Corfey. The client was Vicar General Nikolaus Hermann von Ketteler zu Harkotten, who decided in 1711 to erect a curia on his property. Although an earlier design by Gottfried Laurenz Pictorius was not implemented, it served Corfey as a basis for later planning.
