The Church Castle of Mönchsondheim was built in 1688. It was created in the Baroque style and was designed as a defensive castle. Small gaden (houses with usually only one room) were built around the church, housing a total of 17 craft businesses, including wheelwrights, shoemakers, potters, carpenters, and blacksmiths. An inn was also integrated, though it was only established in 1790.
