Kloster der Herrin von Antiochien

The history of the current monastery does not begin with its Orthodox use. From 1935 to 1995, the building complex housed the St. John's Monastery of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Hiltrup. The sisters operated a retirement and recreation home, a kindergarten, a sewing school, and provided care for the sick in Dollendorf. Due to a lack of new vocations, the monastery of the Missionary Sisters was dissolved. After a temporary use as an asylum seeker's home, the building stood vacant before being acquired by the Antiochian Orthodox Church. The consecration of the Resurrection Chapel took place in 2023, led by Metropolitan Isaak Barakat and Abbot Elisea from Simonos Petras Monastery. In November 2023, a meeting of priests was held at the monastery, and in November 2025, a relic of Saint Mary Magdalene from Simonos Petras Monastery on Mount Athos was displayed.

The monastery is located in Dollendorf, a district of the municipality of Blankenheim in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated at Antoniusstraße 19, near the Catholic parish church of St. Johann Baptist.

The building complex currently houses the nunnery and is intended to also accommodate a pastoral center for Patriarch Ignatius IV in the future. This center is planned for seminars, conferences, and as a general meeting point for the faithful and communities. The double building features 39 rooms, a kitchen, dining and common rooms, and a living area of 850 square meters on a 2320 square meter plot. The monastery and chapel are largely completed.
